Walmart Media Group has launched two Walmart Sponsored Products placements to help advertisers maximize sales and reach a wider audience of Walmart customers.
Here’s an overview of each:
New Pickup & delivery personalization carousels
For: Automatic Sponsored Products advertisers with products available on Walmart’s pickup & delivery platform. These carousels appear on desktop, mobile web and the Walmart app.
Benefits: Inspire Walmart’s pickup & delivery customers to discover, consider and purchase products they might not have known about. In addition to the high-traffic placements currently available within pickup & delivery, Sponsored Products ads may also serve within a "Recommended for you," "Best sellers" or "Featured categories" carousel on Homepage. The name(s) and number of carousels will vary as they are personalized for each customer with unique recommendations, but no more than 10 Sponsored Products ads will appear across all carousels, with no more than two in any individual carousel.
New Walmart.com mid- and bottom Search In-grid placements
For: Automatic and Manual Sponsored Products advertisers on the Walmart.com desktop or mobile web platform.
Benefits: Now, ads not eligible for Search In-grid positions 1 to 12 due to relevancy may still appear on the first page of Walmart.com search results in the middle or at the bottom of the search grid. No more than six Sponsored Products ads will appear per page, with up to two ads each in positions 1 to 12, 13 to 20 and 21 to 40. Products must appear in the top 128 organic search rankings to be eligible for these placements.
